Ma’at Tribal Academy — Founder and CEO of her black empowerment movement, Project Black, Hehewuti Meli Ma’at is a goddess of divine teachings who is showing her tribe of 4 the key to living, how to achieve their higher selves, and eternal life. From your basic need-to-know educational skills like math, reading, writing, and problem solving. She takes it an extra mile while also taking you on the journey with her and the tribe of making vegan meals, having meditation and yoga sessions, and making clothing and other homemade novelties!

Bino & Fino — Follows the adventures of two Nigerian siblings: a little boy named Bino, and his younger sister Fino. Each day the two take on a new task within their day-to-day lives. They are protective of each other because that is how their parents raised them. From making clothes, jewelry, medicine and traditional Nigerian food dishes, Bino and Fino are fully engulfed in their culture and homeland.

It also has links to other videos that target specific areas based on your learning needs; an incredibly fun way to teach your tribe how their body works! These videos range from learning about the lungs, digestive system, and even the heart.

Akan Kids Songs — Akan is a young man who is constantly getting into chaos. He pushes his mom’s patience and makes some mistakes, but in the end his intentions are always good. Sometimes, he must learn the lesson the hard way, but he learns all the same come hang out with Akan!

Yoruba for the Kids — This is a child friendly YouTube series with different videos to help children learn the Yorubanian culture. From counting, learning colors, words and so much more! This is definitely an easy “go-to” if you’re trying to teach the tribe a different language.

Akili and Me — Age appropriate preschooler, Akili, is a 4-year-old girl learning all about the English alphabet, social growth, and numbers all with her animal friends. Akili lives in Tanzania, and her journey through learning begins when she falls asleep and travels to Lala Land. This magical trek is excellent for young, burgeoning minds to explore the language that everyone around them already knows.

Gogo’s Magic Cellar (English) — South African based broadcasting channel features this children’s program, Gogo’s Magic Cellar. Each episode promotes a different life lesson with talking animals and great friends to grow with. Gogo’s Magic Cellar is presented in both English and Afrikaans versions.

Multilingual Stars Academy — This channel is a fun filled colorful homeschooling family of 9 that promotes multilingualism among melanated children!! Teaching everything from Spanish, Swahili, French and Twi Akan this family provides a creative way of learning through colors and music.

It’s a Fact! — A channel dedicated to teaching children about the issues we see every day in the black community, such as, drug use and HIV. These videos are super insightful on how to face these everyday struggles that are never talked about amongst the black community. Drugs and HIV are very sensitive topics, but in these videos, they are discussed and explained in a way that makes the conservation easier to have.

Money Smarts Kids — Remember the saying “value of a dollar?” Well that is exactly what this channel is all about. This mini-series teaches the tribe how the benefits of saving, investing, and more importantly, spending can either benefit you tremendously or cripple you forever. “Money smarts kids creates opportunities for kids to become entrepreneurs as well as give them a practical lifelong foundation on how to be financially wise.”
